Following are selected highlights of pending versions of the FY2016 National Defense
Authorization Act (NDAA): H.R. 1735, passed by the House of Representatives on May 15,
2015, and S. 1376, reported by the Senate Armed Services Committee on May 19, 2015.This
CRS Fact Sheet, based on the two bills and their respective committee reports (H.Rept. 114-102,
and S.Rept. 114-49), is designed as a time-urgent product offering Members the best available
information pending publication of a CRS report on the legislation.
